- Turn on your iPhone
- Press and hold the device’s power button until you see the Apple logo. Wait for the screen to show Hello in many languages and then swipe up to start.
- Choose the size of text and icons on your new phone.
- Select your preferred size for your text and icons. Either Default, Medium, or Large
- Use Quick Start or set up manually
- If you have another iPhone you can use it to help set up your new device with Quick Start.

- If you do not have an iPhone tap Set Up Without Another Device
- If you have another iPhone you can use it to help set up your new device with Quick Start.
- Activate your iPhone or iPad
- You will need your iPhone to be connected to either a Wi-Fi network or a cellular network to activate and continue setting up your device
- Select Set Up for Myself
- Set up Face ID or passcode
- Follow the onscreen instructions to either setup Face ID or a passcode
- If you would like to use a 4 digit passcode or a custom passcode tap passcode options.
- Follow the onscreen instructions to either setup Face ID or a passcode
- Restore or transfer your data and apps
- Choose how you would like to restore or transfer your apps and information to your new phone. You can use an iCloud backup, transfer data between iPhones, restore from Mac or PC backup, transfer from an Android device, or not transfer anything.

- Sign in with your Apple ID
- At this screen you can sign into your Apple ID. This will give you access to the app store, and all of the features on your iPhone. CVE does not provide you with an Apple ID.
- If you do not have an Apple ID you can create one at this stage by selecting Forgot password or don’t have an Apple ID?
- If you do not wish to sign into an Apple ID you can select Forgot password or don’t have an Apple ID? and then select Set Up Later in Settings followed by Don’t Use

- Select Agree and continue
- At this screen you can sign into your Apple ID. This will give you access to the app store, and all of the features on your iPhone. CVE does not provide you with an Apple ID.
- Turn on Automatic Updates and set up other features
- Now you will need to follow the onscreen instructions to allow your iPhone to update automatically and set up other features.
- Allow your phone to update automatically.
- Enable Location Services
- You will be asked to set up or enable multiple features such as Siri, Apple Pay, and Screen Time. Select Set Up Later in Settings for these features.
- When asked about sharing iPhone Analytics select Don’t Share.
- Set up the appearance so that it matches your needs and preferences.
- Now you will need to follow the onscreen instructions to allow your iPhone to update automatically and set up other features.
- All Done
- When finished you will swipe up from the bottom of the screen and that will show you your phone’s home screen. You are now finished.
